Introductions

 So, here's everyone but the cats...they hardly ever interact with anyone so I have chosen to leave them out. I am going to do individual descriptions that will include personality, habits, quirks, etc. With the exception of the 2 couples who will be described a bit differently. This should be a reference point when reading future posts involving different "Zoo" members.

 Gen (me) and Jay

We are both pretty laid back. We are both Aquarius' so we tend to view things the same way. Jay tends to be more of a pessimist where I am an optimist. He also tends to be quicker to lose his temper, whereas I can stay annoyed for a while before blowing my top. We get along really well and truely enjoy being together. We have the same values and moral code so honesty and loyalty has never been a problem, and I doubt it ever will. We both know how lucky we are to have each other and make sure our other half knows how much they are loved and appreciated. This year will be 14 years together and in this age of high divorce rates..that's a long time, and hopefully it will be much longer.

I know I am not the only one

Ok,so I like to bury my nose in my parrot's tummy, I'm not ashamed to admit it. I have 7  birds and they have different smells and I am addicted to all  of them.  Some smell like popcorn, some fruit...depends on the day really. I will keep this post short and sweet for now. I have an idea of how this blog will be presented and I'm hoping it will be different and interesting, not to mention amusing. I get bored easily and I have a pretty good sense of humor..so I will be combining those aspects to create what I hope will be an enjoyable daily read for others and myself. I hope to turn people on to the amazingness of parrots and convey the message of responsible and humane ownership.  I am also a novice breeder of Quaker parrots and will document my journey with that as well. Lastly, for reasons I will allow each person to conclude on their own, I will be reviewing companies and products within my blog. I may include links, product discounts, or just plain information to those who may be interested. I am always looking to better myself and improve any project I partake in, so any and all comments are appreciated. I mean it..good, bad, ugly...how else will I know what needs improvement? So, on that note....here I come..hope you're ready!!!!
